Guitar Instructor Terrence Farrell demonstrating finger picking technique World renowned guitarist Terrence Farrell is accepting students for all levels of guitar instruction in the Monterey Bay area, Salinas, Santa Cruz and the San Francisco Bay area. Farrell brings with him a lifetime of achievements as a concert guitarist, recording artist and teacher. He has performed around the world and has taught the guitar on three continents. It is this wealth of experience playing (in every venue imaginable) and teaching (private, public and master classes) that he brings to students of all ages whether they're as young as 6 or as young at heart as 76.

Terrence is great at tailoring lessons to each student's needs, desires and technical abilities, keeping a mind's eye to creating sound musical knowledge for a lifetime, all the while learning the guitar is a joy!

Terrence has given Master Classes at major universities in the United States, Europe and Asia. He is an Associate Member of the Royal Schools of Music, teaches at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and enjoys a Lifetime teaching credential from the California Community Colleges.

He has performed in every U.S. state save two and on every continent except one.

Several of his students have gone on to become professional musicians, but his main thrust is to teach his students the skills needed for them to enjoy playing the guitar.

Personalization for Individual Guitar Students

Lessons are crafted on the individual needs and aspirations of the student whether it be just for fun or for more ambitious goals. Care is given to provide a well-rounded introduction to the guitar.

Guitar Technique Taught

Lessons are taught with the basic right hand technique of the classical guitar (finger picking). That technique can then be applied to classical, flamenco, folk, blues, fingerstyle jazz, popular or whatever style of guitar music interests the student.
